Volunteers

Last year around September, we were enjoying the company of three volunteers: Carmen from Australia, Till from Germany, and Katalina from the United States.

昨年の9月ごろ、オーストラリアのカーメン、ドイツのティル、アメリカのカタリナの3人のボランティアの皆さんと、楽しい時間を過ごしました。

Besides helping us with different tasks at Yakushima Senvus Village and Yakushima Ohzora High School; volunteers have taught us all, students and staff alike, about other countries and cultures.

３人は、「屋久島センバスビレッジ」や「屋久島おおぞら高等学校」で、さまざまな仕事を手伝ってくれました。彼らは、生徒であれスタッフであれ、私たち全員に、他の国や文化について教えてくれました。

I hope we’ve helped them understand Japan a little better too.

私たちも、彼らが日本のことを理解するのを手伝えていたらいいなと思います。
