Potato planting Experience

Every year, students of Yakushima Ohzora High School visit Yakushima Senvus Village through the “Agriculture Experience” activity, and take part in different tasks in our farm.

「屋久島おおぞら高等学校」の生徒たちは、毎年「農業体験」という授業で「屋久島センバスビレッジ」を訪れ、農園で様々な作業を体験します。

Last year during October, students participated of “Potato planting experience”. By planting, harvesting and taking part of different agriculture activities, students can feel the importance and difficulty of farming, and the deliciousness of completely pesticide-free grown products.

昨年10月には、生徒たちは「ジャガイモの植付け体験」を行いました。植付けや収穫など、さまざまな農作業をすることで、生徒たちは農業の大切さや大変さを体感し、完全無農薬の農産物の美味しさを味わうこともできます。

Unfortunately, this year students haven’t been able to visit Yakushima Senvus Village yet; but our staff took care of this task, so the students that visit us in February next year can participate of “Potato Harvest Experience”.

残念ながら今年は、生徒たちが「屋久島センバスビレッジ」を訪れることはできませんでしたが、来年の2月に訪れる生徒たちが「ジャガイモ収穫体験」を行えるように、スタッフが代わりにジャガイモの植付けをしました。
