Amy, from the United States, visited Yakushima Senvus Village as a volunteer on November~December two years ago.
アメリカから来たエイミーは、2年前の11月から12月にかけてボランティアとして「屋久島センバスビレッジ」を訪れました。
During her stay she helped us with the maintenance of the tea plantation and tankan trees, picking up herbs from the “Scented Garden”, and planting potatoes as part of the “Agriculture Experience” with students of Yakushima Ohzora High School.
滞在中は茶畑やタンカンの樹のメンテナンス、 「香りの庭」 でのハーブの採取、「屋久島おおぞら高等学校」の生徒との 「農業体験」 でのジャガイモの植え付けなどを手伝ってくれました。
She really enjoyed her time in Yakushima, and even now when we talk, she mentions how she would like to come back. We hope to be able to meet her again!
