Days off | 休みの日
While volunteering at Yakushima Senvus Village, foreigners have the chance to travel the island in their free time and days off. By staying for longer periods of time, they can immerse in the culture and nature of the island.
「屋久島センバスビレッジ」でボランティア活動をしている間、外国人ボランティアは、自由時間や休みの日に、屋久島を巡ることができます。長期滞在することで、島の文化や自然に浸ることができます。
This is a picture of Thomas, from Austria, taken at our Scented Garden when he volunteered at Yakushima Senvus Village two years ago.
これは、2年前「屋久島センバスビレッジ」をボランティアとして訪れた、オーストリア出身のトーマスが「香りの庭」で撮った写真です。
And this is Ohko Waterfall (Ohko-no-taki), one of the places he enjoyed during his outings on one of his days off.
そしてこちらは、トーマスが休みの日の外出中に楽しんだ場所の一つ、「大川の滝」です。
It’s interesting to see the island from the volunteers’ point of view too. ^^
ボランティアの視点から屋久島を見てみるのも、面白いですね。^^
