Celestial Stone Pillar at Mount Tachudake | 太忠岳の「天柱石」

The views from the Celestial Stone pillar at the summit of Mount Tachudake are breathtaking. You can see Anbo port below and marvel at the incredibly large rock formation.
「太忠岳（たちゅうだけ）」山頂の「天柱石（てんちゅうせき）」からの眺めは、息をのむほど美しい。安房港を眼下に見ることができ、信じられないほど大きな岩盤に驚嘆する。

You can access Mount Tachudake through Yakusugi Land, and take a 2-2.5 hour hike up to the top. The terrain is not easy with lots of fallen trees to duck under and scrambling over large boulders. But it’s all worth it to be able to eat lunch under the pillar rising up to the sky.
「ヤクスギランド」から太忠岳にアクセスし、山頂まで2時間～2時間半のハイキングをする。倒木の下をくぐったり、大きな岩をよじ登ったりしなければならず、決して楽な地形ではない。しかし、空に向かってそびえ立つ柱の元でランチを食べることができるのだから、それだけの価値はある。

When you’re almost at the top the hardest challenge awaits – trusting this rope to pull yourself onto the base of the rock.

Draw out your inner explorer and come to Mount Tachudake! If you come by bus, be careful as you have only just enough time to complete the hike.
