Potato Harvest | ジャガイモ収穫
Our staff at Yakushima Senvus Village harvested the potatoes that were planted in October!
「屋久島センバスビレッジ」のスタッフが、10月に植えた「ジャガイモ」を収穫しました。
Every year, students of Yakushima Ohzora High School and volunteers from other countries participate in “Agriculture Experience”, and help our staff planting and harvesting the potatoes. This way, they can learn about the importance of food and hard work.
毎年、「屋久島おおぞら高等学校」の生徒たちと外国人ボランティアは、「農業体験」でジャガイモの植付けや収穫などを手伝ってくれます。それによって生徒たちは、食べ物の大切さ、一生懸命働くことの大切さを学ぶことができます。
This year students and volunteers couldn’t join us, but our staff harvested the potatoes and took it to school so they can still taste the importance of organically grown food.
今年は生徒やボランティアは参加できませんでしたが、スタッフが「ジャガイモ」を収穫して「屋久島おおぞら高等学校」に持って行ったので、生徒たちは今年も、完全無農薬で育てた農産物の大切さを感じることができます。
We hope to be able to receive volunteers and students to experience natural farming together soon. ^^
近いうちに、ボランティアや生徒たちと一緒に完全無農薬の農業体験ができるよう願っています。^^
