Hirauchi Kaichu Onsen
Approximately 7km away from Yakushima Senvus Village, you can find Hirauchi Kaichu Onsen.
屋久島センバスビレッジから約7 km離れたところに、「平内海中温泉」があります。
Hirauchi Kaichu Onsen is a natural hot spring formed from ocean rocks right next to the sea. Since the naturally formed pools are filled with sea water during high tide, you can only enjoy the hot springs two hours before and after low tide.
「平内海中温泉」は、海原の岩でできた天然温泉です。満潮時には天然のプールが海水で満たされるため、温泉を楽しめるのは干潮の2時間前と2時間後だけです。
Since it is in the wild, it doesn’t have a toilet and is not separated by gender. You can experience an old style, original Japanese onsen first hand.
自然の中にあるのでトイレもなく、男女混浴です。昔ながらの日本の温泉を体験できます。
While relaxing on Hirauchi Kaichu Onsen, you can hear the waves crushing, and enjoy the sunset or the twinkling stars.
