Feijoa Flower | フェイジョアの花
This beautiful flower belongs to the Feijoa, a fruit tree native to South America.
Because of Yakushima’s unique weather, we are able to grow it here on Yakushima Senvus Village.
この美しい花は、南米の果樹「フェイジョア」の花です。
屋久島特有の気候のおかげで、「屋久島センバスビレッジ」ではフェイジョアも育っています。
The flower of the feijoa blooms between May and June, and they are actually edible. The light pink petals are said to taste sweet, with hints of feijoa and mint flavor.
5月から6月にかけてフェイジョアの花が咲きますが、この花は食べることができます。
淡いピンクの花びらは甘く、ほんのりとフェイジョアの実とミントの味がすると言われています。
The fruit can be harvested between October and November.
フェイジョアの実は、10月から11月にかけて収穫されます。
