香りのミュージアム Scent Museum

Scent experience that transcends time

Scent Museum features a restored model of Ranjatai, a piece of aromatic wood kept at the Shosoin Treasure House of Todaiji Temple.
Renowned for its unrivaled fragrance and historic stature, Ranjatai has been cut off by a few of Japan's rulers of the time, including 15th century shogun Yoshimasa Ashikaga and Warring States Period warlord Nobunaga Oda as well as by Emperor Meiji.
The museum’s exhibition space hosts diverse scent experience events according to the season and under various themes.
