Rice Relay Paddy

Through the year, students of Yakushima Ohzora High School and volunteers take part of the "Rice paddy Relay", where they grow rice on paddies that recreate the ones of the Jomon Period, following traditional organic techniques.

Since the rice takes months to grow, the students take part of only one step of the process, learning the importance of communicating and trusting their partners as well as the ones that will be responsible for the next step.

Students and volunteers couldn't come this month, but the teachers of Yakushima Ohzora High School came and took care of the corresponding step.
Thank you teachers for watching over the "Rice paddy Relay", so students can continue with the process once they come back.  ^^
